Current Volunteer Opportunities

Nutrition Pick Up and Delivery

  • Twice per month, SPSF receives a bread donation on a Monday evening which is picked up from the north end of Saskatoon and delivered Tuesday morning to W.P. Bate School where it is distributed to 20 schools for use in their nutrition programs. Assistance is needed with pick up and delivery. Bread to remain in your vehicle overnight for delivery the next morning. (3-4 volunteers needed)
  • Every Tuesday morning, a large food donation is received at W.P. Bate School where it is sorted and distributed to 15 schools across the city. Assistance is needed in picking up the donation from W.P. Bate School and delivering it to one or more schools. (this could be done in conjunction with the bread donation or on it’s own)
    • *Volunteer one time, once per month, or twice per month, or be on the on call list

Nutrition Support in Schools

  • Weekday morning shifts assisting with food prep and serving at various Saskatoon Public Schools.
    • A Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector is required. If you don’t have one, a letter will be given to you to get one done at no charge to you as a volunteer.

Cheer Crate Assembly

  • February 14 from 1pm to 5pm
  • February 15 from 8am to 4pm
  • February 15 from 8am to noon
