Each year, Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation (SPSF) provides grants to Saskatoon Public Schools (SPS) members to test or scale innovative initiatives and creative solutions that address challenges and opportunities impacting students. This year more than ever, schools, staff and students are faced with uncertainties and need to adapt to new ways of teaching and learning.
Schools were encouraged to focus on innovative and supplemental projects that would provide enhanced learning opportunities for students during. As a result, 28 applications were submitted. Out of those, a committee made up of SPSF board members selected 14 schools and departments to receieve over $48,000 in grant money.
The Successful Projects Are:

| Ecole Victoria School | $4,300 | Taking Learning Outdoors | Providing the tools for all teachers to regularly take their students outdoors including professional development, print resources and the practical tools to help them prepare to take any lesson outdoors while taking advantage of our proximity to the Meewasin Trail and the riverbank. |
| Sylvia Fedoruk School | $2,500 | Sensory Support | Adaptive materials and alternate sensory breaks for students who require additional supports at school to be successful, helping them focus, be successful, and feel included. |
| Pleasant Hill, King George, Howard Coad Schools | $5,000 | Mental Health, Regulation & the Power of Art | Art as a strategy for building self-regulation and emotional safety, encompassing six individual Art opportunities over the course of the school year that would support and explore the wholistic dimensions of an individual’s physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual dimensions of mental health and wellness. |

| Marion Graham Collegiate | $5,000 | STEaM | Tools that will allow for more authentic work with technology and give the students the ability to create real-world products, allow for more authentic work with technology and give the ability to create real-world products. |
| Centennial Collegiate | $2,000 | Keeping Connected | A project providing safe, individual activities that will be distributed to most at risk students who feel a need and desire to be part of a thriving community during this time. |
| Bedford Road Collegiate | $4,670 | B Active | A student-lead wellness initiative that provides opportunities to enhance fitness levels, increase nutrition knowledge, and improve mental health and well-being for girls at Bedford Road. |
| Saskatoon Public Schools | $10,000 | Move to Grow | Move To Grow Bike Program including the purchase of bikes, helmets, locks and a bike trailer so several SPS schools would have access to these bikes for outdoor learning and field trips. Additional funding to a grant received from another source. |
