“September 30th marks the first National Day For Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. It is a day to ensure that we recognize our tragic history and the ongoing legacy of residential schools. As a Foundation, we acknowledge this important day by supporting a time to reflect and learn and commemorate the legacy of residential schools and the resilience of survivors. Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation believes our children deserve an equal start in life and investing in education supports children and our community in a good way. We wear orange shirts on this day to honour Indigenous children forced to leave their families to attend residential schools.”
