Hugo Alvarado Community Art Project
In 2017, Saskatoon artist Hugo Alvarado helped raise funds for student art kits. Soon an art club and an art room were formed at King George School and local artists began leading art classes. Today funds are being raised to expand the art project to other elementary schools to allow more students to benefit from this creative partnership.
Cameco Centre of Excellence in Science and Mathematics
In 2014, with the help of Cameco, Saskatchewan opened its first Centre of Excellence in Science and Mathematics at Bedford Road Collegiate. The Centre allows high school students to advance their education while learning about careers in engineering, mining and geology. In 2016, the program expanded to include the Caroline Robins Design Lab.
Nutrien Eco-Science and Indigenous Learning Centre
In April 2013, the Nutrien Eco-Science and Indigenous Learning Centre opened its doors to Saskatoon Public Schools students.
